Our aims

Stichting Groene Sterren offers help to schools abroad that are experiencing financial problems. This is in the form of carrying out renovation work and providing (financial) support to both the schools and the children.

In addition, the foundation connects Dutch students with students abroad, for example through a so-called social internship. We aim to give Rotterdam students a broader view of the world, and increase their empathy and understanding of people who are less fortunate than themselves, with the hope that they feel more gratitude for their own position in life.

Who are we?

Stichting Groene Sterren is entirely run by volunteers. The board of the foundation consists of three teachers from a secondary school in Rotterdam.
